Passion Perplexity

the worst pains i've ever felt,
would evaporate off the burns
of everything You absorbed.
how do i understand that suffering,
if You always kept my wrists untied?
i can only imagine as far
as my deepest cut.
all the silver platters in the world,
won't reflect my new, promised face.
yet i yearn to know Your heart.

what love outperforms
the fear of oblivion?
it must've been hidden in Your agony.
and here i am,
foolishly cradling
my own woes of tomorrow.
