Worship is our highest calling and praise is a way to engage in worship and adoration.

The Scriptures are filled with songs of response to God. We see this in the book of Psalms. We see it in how we are created; for his glory, for worship. In Revelation 5:11-12, we see living creatures, elders, and thousands of angels singing

“Worthy is the Lamb that was slaughtered to receive power and wealth and wisdom and might and honor and glory and blessing!” (Rev. 5:12)

We start with worship and end with worship.

The New Mercy Praise Ministry functions as the lead worshippers of our community. We create avenues on the path to restoration for broken people to exalt God through the medium of music.

For God to work through us, we need him to work in us first.

For that to happen, worship has to be an everyday lifestyle (Romans 12:1-2).

So what are the traits that will help guide the ministry to accomplish the vision/mission? What aspects will each member expect to grow in? This is to be all done in community.

Matthew 22:36-40, Genesis 1:27

God is an intimate God who wants to be intimate with us. It is in his nature and because are made in his image, we are made for intimacy. It is in intimacy with God first where we are able to see our false self from our true self. Intimacy is also practiced in community.

Philippians 2:5-7, John 3:30, Romans 12:10

We are to follow the example of Christ Jesus; “He must increase, but I must decrease.” This can be practiced by submitting God and submitting to one another, which works hand in hand. (Humility)

Complete Dependency on God

John 15:1-17

Apart from God we cannot do anything. Apart from God, we cannot experience restoration and ultimately lead people in the path to restoration.
